Our stop smoking services can provide you with individual support to help you become smokefree. These can be face to face meetings or we can even arrange to chat over the phone if that works better for you.
You can join a group session, where you can make friends and share tips with others who are looking to give up smoking.
We run drop in sessions, so you don’t need to book an appointment. As well as supporting you each week in the session, we can call or text you in between sessions to help keep you on track.
NRT stands for nicotine replacement therapy, which is medically-approved ways to take nicotine rather than smoking cigarettes.
This can be things like chewing gum or patches that you may have tried before and things like inhalers, tablets, lozengers and sprays. You can buy these from pharmacies and you may be able to get these on prescription too.
NRT reduces the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal, so can help quitters cope with the cravings you may get when you give up smoking.
By accessing our support, we will be able to talk to you through what NRT might work best for you, and also discuss other prescription-only medications that support people to give up smoking.
