Our digital option provides accessible healthy eating tips and weight management strategies.

A bit about the programme and how long it is.
- 12 week programme with weekly face to face or online sessions. There is an option for people who attend face to face sessions to attend online exercise classes.
- Each session is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours long and includes an opportunity to ‘weigh in’ and speak to your ‘Healthy Lifestyle Advisor’.
- Weekday evenings and weekend times suitable for working people will be available, all across Sandwell.

Fitness sessions will consist of
- Specialist = low intensity only with seated options suited to those with high BMIs and complex medical conditions
- Mixed = both specialist and targeted clients and exercise is a mix of intensities
- HIIT = high intensity exercise suited to those with a history of regular exercise
- Beginners’ cardio = suitable for all clients and consists of low intensity circuit training
- Chair based dance = suitable for all clients
- Weights for women = resistance training, women only
Sessions will consider those with health issues, e.g. with diabetes and appropriate adjustments can be made for those with mobility issues.
Can anyone join?
You can join the programme if:
- You live in Sandwell or have a GP in Sandwell.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have a BMI over 25 (or over 23 if you are of Black African, African-Caribbean or Asian origin).
How will it be delivered?
Face to face and Online via Zoom. With complimentary self-help tools, recipes etc.
Your Health Sandwell will contact you within 3 -5 working days of receiving a referral from Healthy Sandwell. You will be booked to attend an initial assessment and identification of suitable option will be made at this point by asking your preferences to do a face to face or digital programme.
Attendance?
Weekly for 12 weeks, face to face groups will be up to 10 people. Online maximum is of up to 20 people.
If I miss a session, can I re-join?
Limited to one re-engagement into the service after 6 weeks of a cooling off period.
