3,000 more people active in Sandwell

Healthy Sandwell’s CANDOs (Community Activity Network Delevelopment Officers), are celebrating big increases in the number of people getting active in the Borough.

Since their appointmnet, the six CANDOs have helped local people engage with physical activity, sport and exercise.

Over 3,000 people have taken part in sessions organised by the CANDOs across our 6 towns.

The CANDOs work in collaboration with local residents to identify easy ways for people to become active and increase their physical activity.

Activities have included buggyfit, ninja kids and making the most of the outdoor gym equipment in our local parks.

If you are interested to see what sessions are running in your town, visit the CANDO website and search for local activities.

You can read more about the CANDOs by visiting our physical activity area on this website or read more about this story on our council news page
