What do I do with my results?

After your NHS Health Check you’ll be given some results.

These are given to you in the appointment with your health care professional. You will be told whether you are:

  • Low risk: you have less than a 10% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years
  • Moderate risk: you have a 10-20% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years
  • High risk: you have more than a 20% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years.

 

No matter what your risk of getting a heart or circulation problem, you will have a chance to discuss with a health professional how to improve your scores.

This could include being signposted to local support to help you with lifestyle factors that will help you reduce things like your blood pressure, or cholesterol levels. This could be:
