What do I do with my results?

After your NHS Health Check you’ll be given some results.

You get these in the appointment with your health care professional. You find out whether you are:

  • Low risk: less than a 10% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years
  • Moderate risk: a 10-20% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years
  • High risk: more than a 20% chance of a heart or circulation problem in the next 10 years.

 

No matter what your risk of getting a heart or circulation problem, this gives you a chance to discuss with a health professional how to improve your scores. The results are broken down in to different areas including your alcohol intake score and diabetes risk. The NHS website can give you more information about each score.

This includes being signposted to local support to help you with lifestyle factors that will reduce things such as your blood pressure or cholesterol levels. This could be:
