Oldbury United

Oldbury United deliver a first-class community football provision and maintain high standards of attainment both on and off the field of play. We are more than a football club, through our volunteering, coaching, mentoring and education programmes we develop role models and leaders for the future. We work with young people aged 12-25 years from the Black, Black British, African or Caribbean communities. The project uses sport to engage young people who will be assigned an experienced mentor who will offer 1:1 and group mentoring to:

  • Support them with positive activities (football, basketball, walking)
  • Refer them to appropriate support/treatment agencies if required. (GP, School, college)
  • Educate to achieve educational goals. (safeguarding, first aid, personal growth)
  • Signpost to physical activities that continue beyond the lifetime of the project.
