Brook

Brook

As a parent or carer, you care about the health and wellbeing of your children, and about the choices they make in life. Most importantly you care about their safety.

It’s natural to feel anxious about your kids growing up and learning about relationships and sex, but young people are infinitely curious and without a safe space to ask questions they will search elsewhere.

Having open conversations that are timely and relevant to their experiences gives them the power to recognise harmful behaviour and to be heard. If you don’t feel equipped to have those conversations just yet, Brook is here. Brook has pages about everything from cleaning properly to contraception to mental health support. Allow your child to explore their website link in their own time.

Explore their pages for parents for top tips, FAQs, free resources and information to help you support in-school learning and make sure your children and young people get high-quality information. If you want to get more information, Brook will work with parents and carers to improve confidence and knowledge of RSHE and reinforce key messages in the home on relationships and sexual health outcomes. They offer 22 parent and carer sessions throughout the year at times that are easily accessible. They also offer three parent and carer Q&A online sessions. To access these please contact jane.mcnally@brook.org.uk
