Sandwell has 11 leisure centres. Sandwell Leisure Trust (SLT) runs 10 of the centres. Places for People Limited run West Bromwich Leisure Centre.
All children under 16 can access free swimming at the centres. Furthermore, all residents over 60 and people who are registered disabled can also access free swimming.
Sandwell is a competitive market with challenging local demographics. In these circumstances, SLT pride themselves that they can continue to deliver service improvements. These exceed targets agreed in partnership with Sandwell Council. As well as this, they show an increase in participation in physical activity and sport throughout the borough.
