Young Peoples’ Sexual Health

At Sandwell Sexual Health Services, we have a great team of nurses, doctors, and healthcare support workers. We’re here to help you, so no matter who you are or what you’re seeing us for, our staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental.

The services we offer are free to everyone. We can provide sex and relationships advice, contraception, emergency contraception, Condoms (C-Card), STI screening, STI treatment, abortion referrals, HIV management, cervical screening, and safeguarding. If you’re unsure about what care you need, you can speak with a nurse for guidance.

We won’t tell anyone about your visit – The care you receive from us is confidential, regardless of your age, sexuality, or gender identity. This is your legal right. If we’re concerned that you’re at risk of harm, we may need to share information with other professionals, but we will discuss this with you first.

We currently offer a telephone consultation service in place of a walk-in service. Some care can be completed over the phone, but if you need an in-person appointment, this will be arranged.

When you contact us to request an appointment, the receptionist will take some information from you to ensure you are booked with the best person to help you.

If you need a telephone consultation, you will be booked in when you say you are available to receive a call and will be allocated a time slot. Our number is private, so check if your phone can accept private calls, and let us know if not when you book in.

If you attend for a booked in-person appointment, go to the reception desk on the 3rd floor, where a member of our team will be able to help you. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time; if you are late we may not have time to see you. A staff member will call you in when it is time for your appointment.
