Sexual Health


Looking after your sexual health will make you live longer and healthier. Early treatment for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can prevent chronic disease and death. To check your sexual health, you may go to any of the following services:

The Integrated Sexual Health Unit in Sandwell (ISHUS), which provides confidential advice and information on sexual health, free condoms, counselling, contraception, testing and treatment for HIV and the other STIs. To find a service near you, click here.

Brook Young People in Sandwell (Brook), which provides a confidential sexual health service for young people aged under 25 years old (Under 25s). The service provides confidential advice and information on sexual health, free condoms, contraception, Chlamydia screening and treatment, testing and treatment for HIV and the other STIs. The Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) in Sandwell, which provides confidential advice and information on sexual health, free condoms, testing for HIV and the other STIs, and support for people diagnosed with HIV. To find the service click here.
