Benefits of exercise

There’s so many benefits of exercise. Even doing a little more each and every day can make a big difference.

People who do regular activity have a lower risk of many diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke and some cancers.

Being active can help boost how you are feeling in your self.. your mental wellbeing.

If exercise was a pill, it would be one of the most cost effective drugs ever invented

People who do regular physical activity have up to:

  • 35% lower risk of corony heart disease and stroke
  • 50% lower risk of type 2 diabetes
  • 50% lower risk of colon cancer
  • 20% lower risk of breast cancer

You can find out more benefits of exercise by visiting the NHS Choices website.
