West Bromwich Leisure Centre hosts our medal winning Special Olympics Sandwell swimming team. People can expect a fun friendly group with links to other sporting & social opportunities. On a bus route & a rear car park free during evening. Individual changing rooms plus group changing rooms.
Lockers take a £1 coin refundable deposit.
Swimmers sit together on the wall by window & have a friendly chat before starting their lesson. Swimmers can swim by poolside wall to gain confidence. 2 experienced qualified swimming teachers & 2 swimming lanes for our sole use. Length swimmers only.
Swimmers enjoy improving their strokes & increasing their stamina whilst training for swimming galas. They are so proud when they win certificates & medals.
They also enjoy playing games afterwards encouraging water confidence.
Family members / Carers spectate from balcony or pool side.
There are communal showers & hair driers available in changing rooms free of charge.
