Meet at Sandwell Park Farm Visitor Centre


Stride is led by Sandwell Council’s Public Health Development team. Walks take place every week throughout the year and make the most of the green spaces, parks, canals and neighbourhoods across Sandwell. Walks are free, fun and friendly – perfect to help you get active and meet new people. If you’d like to take part, all you have to do is come along to the start of one of our walks a few minutes early. No booking required.

Sandwell Valley and Country Park

Sandwell Valley Country Park, Salter's Lane, West Bromwich, UK

Sandwell Valley Country Park is in the heart of the West Midlands and just one mile from West Bromwich town centre and is open all year round. Whether your interests lie in walking, birdwatching, sports or just being in the great outdoors, you are sure to find something to do in Sandwell Valley Country Park. It is an award winning Green Flag park and a great place to spend the day. As well as two working farm visitor centres, there is an aerial assault course and adventure playground, a mountain bike trail, the RSPB Visitor Centre, woodland, meadows and farmland. Leisure facilities include an adventure centre with cycle hire, access routes for walking, cycling and horse riding, pitch and putt, crazy golf, tennis courts, football pitches, tractor and trailer rides and open top bus rides.
